Having extensive experience, our Physios will assess your condition and tailor a specific treatment program to suit your individual needs. Consultations are 30 minutes with 1 on 1 time given by your treating Physio in private rooms.

How long are appointments

Initial and subsequent consult are 30 minutes. if you require a longer appointment please ask when making a booking.

What can I expect?

During this assessment a complete description and the history of your problem will be taken. Also a physical assessment will be carried out related to the area of your symptoms. The treating therapist will look at your movement patterns, muscle strength, flexibility and function and other relevant tests to work out the cause of your problem. A treatment plan will then be developed and discussed with you.

How many appointments will I need

This varies between individual conditions but the Physio will be able to give you an idea of the time that might be necessary to resolve the problem at the initial visit.

Can my problem be helped with Physiotherapy?

Our reception staff are familiar with most conditions which are managed by our Physios. If unsure, they will check with the Physio at the time of your enquiry to ensure that your condition can be appropriately managed by physiotherapy.

Which therapist for my problem?

Our physiotherapists are all skilled and highly experienced in managing any musculoskeletal problem or sports injury that you may experience.  Each Physio has their own individual ‘special interests’ and these can be read through the practitioners profile if you are seeking something very specific in the way of treatment. What do I need to bring to my appointment?

Depending on the area being treated, the physiotherapist may require you to partially disrobe or change clothes to fully assess the problem area. If you have relevant X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI scans please bring these and the reports with you to your initial visit. If you are taking Prescription or alternative medication your Physiotherapist will also require you to bring a list of what you are currently taking with you to your initial consultation.

Do I need a Doctors referral to visit a physiotherapist?

If you are a private patient, you do not need a referral to be treated by our physiotherapists. Workers compensation, Veteran Affairs, Medicare EPC (Enhanced Primary Care Plan) Patients and Motor Vehicle Accident will require a Doctors referral prior to being assessed and treated by our Physiotherapists.

Can I claim back the cost of physiotherapy treatment with private health insurance?

Yes, the practice is connected to HICAPS which enables you to only pay the gap at the time of your visit. Each health fund is different, so please contact your fund to get an estimation of coverage.
