Qualifications and Experience:

  •  Bachelor of Applied Science (Physio) 1982 SAIT
  •  1982-1985 worked in hospital setting treating patient’s in critical care, orthopaedics, rheumatology, hydrotherapy, neurology and with musculoskeletal problems
  •  Started working in private practice in 1985
  • 1986 started own clinic in South Brighton area
  •  Tutoring for students at Uni SA involved in clinical placements 1992 and 1994
  •  Local primary school education sessions
  •  1995-1998 Occupational Health Physiotherapist (P/T)
  • 1999-2001 Australian Physiotherapy Association – Professional Development Officer (P/T)
  •  2005 to present date Partner at Blackwood Physiotherapy

Over 30 years combined experience in hospital and private practice settings treating a vast variety of problems.

Special interests or areas of particular specialty:

  •  Sports related injuries
  •  Spinal pain management
  •  Headaches triggered from neck problems
  •  Lower limb biomechanics assessment and treatment
  • Treatment of BPPV (Dizziness/Vertigo)

Hobbies:

  • Keeping fit and healthy with swimming, regular walking , yoga/stretching to maintain flexibility and an occasional surf
  •  Hills trail walking
  •  Mountain bike riding
  • Appreciation of Craft Beer brewing
  • Travel
  • Home renovation and maintenance, woodworking
